This story made me laugh... a lot.
NOTE: I am not the "me" in the story. It's from http://notalwaysright.com

Me: “Can I help you, sir?”

Customer: “Yeah, I need to know what you can do for my dog. He’s really aggressive and tries to bite me and everyone. Do you train dogs here or something?”

Me: “No, sir, but I can refer you to a trainer.”

Customer: “I don’t have time for that I need advice now. What do you think I should do?”

Me: “Well, sir, is he a show dog?”

Customer: “No.”

Me: “Are you going to use him for breeding?”

Customer: “No.”

Me: “I would suggest that you have him neutered as a first step; it will help calm him down. Also, enroll him in an obedience class, that will–”

Customer: “Neuter him? You mean cut his ball off!?”

Me: “Well…”

Customer: “G**d***it, that’s so typical! All you feminist Nazis all just wanna cut off all us men’s balls!”

(Just then, the main veterinarian comes out from the back to see what the yelling is about.)

Veterinarian: “What seems to be the problem?”

Customer: “I’ll tell you what! That girl there suggested I get his balls whacked off!”

Veterinarian: “Now, Sarah, I’ve told you before we don’t treat exotic animals here, haven’t I?”

Me: “Yes, sir?”

Veterinarian: “Well lets not have this happen again…” *turns back to customer* “I am sorry, sir. We normally do not treat large apes, but since my person here already told you we did, I’ll honor it. When would you like to make the appointment?”

Customer: *storms out*

An update on life, the universe, everything...
(as requested)

No new news on the vet school front, but I am completely done with undergrad. Not sure how, but I managed all A's and an A- this semester. I'm 90% sure at least three of my classes bumped my grade up when I was borderline. That ends my final GPA right where I want it. And I have until next fall until I have to start taking classes and tests again. Tell you what--I really need the time off. I got some pretty bad senioritis, and I just don't think I could have handled another semester of college. I just feel... done with it. My natural restlessness was saying it was time to move on. I was tired of dorms, and crappy school food, and all the rest of the stress of that. I want to get out on my own.

Christmas was tons of fun. Michael came down for a couple days, then we both drove down to meet the rest of his immediate family at his grandparents' house in Florida. They live in a citrus grove! I enjoyed my time there, getting to know his family, playing games, etc. They are all wonderful about making me feel like a part of the family.

I got an enormous, 6-foot bookshelf for Christmas, so I finally have a place for my overflowing books. I also got the entire Twilight series, which I am greedily devouring. I'm not a raving fangirl, but I do like them quite a lot. I don't think Edward is the most perfect guy ever that no human boy could ever come close to. (Well, perhaps, but only based on the distinction between boy and man, and the resulting fact that "boy"s are immature and stupid.) My brother got Guitar Hero World Tour (the rock band type version), so I'll probably be spending a lot of time at his house playing that.

I hope you are all doing well! Merry belated Christmas, and Happy New Year!

...I could press the submit button on my VMCAS right now. But... I'm a little too nervous. Once it's submitted, I can't change anything. And it has to be perfect.

I don't know why I haven't discovered grits earlier, at least in relation to wisdom teeth. It was pretty much the best overall breakfast I've had since the surgery, because it was hot, felt substantial, but required no chewing.

Anyway, because Michael is getting his wisdom teeth out Friday, I will be leaving (for the semester) first thing tomorrow. If you are free today, call me! I'm going to be packing, but I'd be happy to take a break for an hour or two.
